Coverage from Rietvlei base
Leak Detection Service Areas — Where We Work, and How Fast We Get There
Source Leak Detection runs out of a single workshop on the Rietvlei side of Pretoria East. That geography defines everything about our service model — response times, dispatch patterns, which vans go where in the morning, and the difference between a same-day booking and a next-day booking is measured in kilometres from that base, not in postcode.
This page lays out the coverage rings honestly. If you're looking for our suburb-specific pages, the water locations hub lists all twelve, and the pool locations hub lists the six pool pages.
Same-day ring — Pretoria East and Centurion
Every stand within about a 25-kilometre driving radius of the Rietvlei base is our same-day ring. On a normal weekday, callouts booked before midday from Pretoria East (Waterkloof, Brooklyn, Groenkloof, Hatfield, Lynnwood, Moreleta Park, Faerie Glen) or from any point in the Centurion belt (Lyttelton through Doringkloof, Die Hoewes, Highveld, Midstream, Southdowns, and Irene) receive an arrival window for the same afternoon. Booked after midday, we'll typically hit an arrival window before the next morning's peak. The dispatcher balances loads across three exit routes — R55 for Lyttelton and Doringkloof, N1 for Highveld and Die Hoewes, R21 for Irene and Southdowns — and van assignment is set by proximity, not by suburb queue order.
Drive-time from Rietvlei to central Waterkloof is under fifteen minutes off peak. To Centurion's Techno Park it's a similar window. Faerie Glen and Moreleta Park are ten to twenty minutes depending on which side of the suburbs the callout sits. Every stand in this same-day ring gets the standard R1,850 water leak detection flat rate, or the R2,150 pool single-pump inspection where applicable — no distance surcharge, no callout fee stacked on top.
Next-day ring — Sandton and Midrand
North of the Jukskei, we are a next-day service by design rather than by default. Rivonia, Bryanston, Sunninghill, Morningside, Woodmead, Paulshof, Fourways, and the wider Sandton belt sit fifty-five to seventy kilometres from base, and the N1 corridor is slow enough during peak hours that same-day dispatch across it compromises quality. We book Sandton callouts the day before with a two-hour arrival window and hold to it — no drift, no shifting. The evening-before WhatsApp confirmation is our default, and on any Sandton complex or estate booking the security office is briefed directly ahead of arrival.
The Sandton belt gets the same flat rate as Pretoria — R1,850 for water leak detection. Longer stands (large legacy Bryanston or Rivonia erven) may need an extended session if the standard two-hour window doesn't cover a full-property sweep; those are quoted before the appointment starts and documented on the service terms page.
Midrand callouts (Kyalami, Halfway House-adjacent, Blue Hills) follow the same next-day pattern with a slightly earlier morning slot, since traffic on the M1 and N1 southbound peaks later than northbound.
Second-priority ring — Ekurhuleni and Roodepoort
East and west of Johannesburg — Kempton Park, Edenvale, Alexandra, Ferndale, Emmarentia, Roodepoort — we work as a next-day-or-day-after service depending on the dispatch schedule. Response windows extend to a full day for booking-to-arrival. We do not compromise the two-hour diagnostic window itself, but the callout may land the morning after next rather than the very next day.
Emergency-only callouts to this ring (visible active leak, ceiling damage, municipal shutdown pending) are prioritised out of turn; the call handler will confirm at booking whether the schedule allows same-day or next-morning arrival.
How dispatch actually decides the day
Every morning we lay the day's bookings on a map. Same-day slots fill first, sorted by exit route so vans don't cross paths through the day. Next-day Sandton bookings are grouped so the technician heading north handles four or five consecutive callouts in the same run rather than criss-crossing the N1. Emergency callouts interrupt the schedule as they come in — the dispatcher pulls a van from the least time-critical remaining callout that day and reissues arrival windows via WhatsApp.
That schedule discipline is why our flat rate covers all the things some competitors bill separately — arrival windows, re-scheduling, on-site pressure verification, moisture readings, photographic documentation, and the two-business-day report. We build the rate around the average job, not the cheapest one.
The suburb pages we've written
Twelve water leak detection pages and six pool leak detection pages, each hand-written to the specific plumbing history, soil conditions, and access patterns of that suburb. Every one carries the same flat rate, the same No Find, No Fee guarantee, and the same photographic report format:

What if your suburb isn't listed?
Every Pretoria, Centurion, and Sandton suburb inside our service rings is covered — the hand-written pages are the ones where the underlying diagnostic differs enough to justify a standalone treatment. If your suburb isn't on the list above, book via the wizard below or WhatsApp us directly and we'll dispatch under the same flat rate. The location hubs list every folded suburb by name.
No Find, No Fee
On a confirmed leak — meter turning with taps closed, or a measurable pressure drop on your pool circuit — if we cannot locate the source, you receive a full refund.
